Jemina's Book / Petr's Entry

REFRACTION is the theme of Jemina's original shiny little book. It took a lot of thinking, researching and brainstorming and still I didn't figure out what my piece should be.

And so I dropped it for a couple days, until this image came to me at some ordinary everyday moment.

Mary's book "Small Things",  Jeane's entry

I took a "small" stamp and used that as my starting point to Mary's book.  The stamp commemorates one of Norway's oldest  and still popular children's book author and illustrator.

Lydia's Flow - angela entry

Just another intuitive, enjoying-the-media solution: acrylic, pencil .05 drawing pen, and a wee bit o' color pencil too.
I love Lydia's new layout idea and color scheme.

Jeane's Book...FACADE

I have always been fascinated with facades in the architectural sense.  Maybe because my dad was an architect.  Anyway the term, FACADE, can have many definitions and applications.

I found some old photos that adorn the front and back covers of my book which come from a Halloween birthday party of my daughter's.  Ahhh, memories...  I hope you have fun with the theme by playing with the diverse meanings of FACADE.

Communication - Angela's Book

woohoo! >>>> The beginning of another esketcher adventure!
Since I'm using a small, yet many paged book, I revisited the idea of starting entries on both the front and back sides, like I did with my theme "beginnings". You can go with whichever side you prefer, or do two different entries.
The theme "communication" can be a bit literal, so instead of drawing/collaging telephone poles as I originally intended, I went with ironic, unpredictable, or just sorta weird.
There are plenty of pages, so feel free to do something on both sides, if you have the time.
