Lydia's Book - Flow and Connect

This is not so much a 'book' as a fold-able artwork. I hope that once it has made the rounds it will end up in a frame on my wall!

'FLOW and CONNECT'
My hope for this book is that our ideas will connect.  I have laid down a pathway on the paper through which these ideas might flow (inspired by an app game I played the other day called 'flow').  I am also suggesting a colour scheme in an attempt to create some kind of unity (try to stick to the colours of the paper).  For those of you who heard me rattle on about 'choice and limitations' at the ECIS conference in Nice - you will know this is a bit of an obsession of mine.  I am not sure if you guys can be contained within these kind of boundaries???!!!  But thought I'd give it a go.

The photos below demonstrate the folding process.

I have made an entry to get the ball rolling - it is just a doodle inspired by the overall design of the 'book'.  I have used water soluble pencils and a white ball point pen - a new toy.

Have Fun!

  1. You are brilliant! I want a framed poster of all our work too! Maybe I'll dismantle the book I just spent ages carefully constructing. ;)

  6. Lydia's entry has such an impact, in person. I just kept looking at all the little lines and bits, wondering how she layered which stuff. It's a fun piece that really draws you in. :)
